Monthly Favourites | May

Wow.. Has it really been 8 months since my last post?? Sorry not sorry..
Now, I don't know how many people followed my blog 8 months ago, but if you're still here.. Hello :) how have you been?

I know this month isn't quite over yet.. I haven't lost the ability to comprehend certain information..
But, I am super jam packed with my last assignment this week, that I thought I'd do my first monthly favourites early.  I have been loving so many things this month [LIES].. I haven't being loving that much to be honest, but the things I have liked, are pretty good..

This month, I've hated.. Uni.. Uni.. Uni.. Uni.. Uni.. UNI..
This month I've loved the usual.. PIZZA, SLEEP AND NETFLIX..

Joking.. Honestly, there are one or two, maybe three favourites I'd like to tell you about..

So.. Get some delicious cupcakes or chocolate, what every your preference is, and relax. ;)

EMMA HARDIE - Amazing Face Natural lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm.

Admittedly, this is one of the not so cheap products that hits your wallet hard.. The side of the wallet that anyone and everyone tries against their will not to go in to.. WE LOVE IT THOUGH!

Yes.. I know.. It looks like earwax..

BUT.. This silky, in between the fingers, smooth cleansing balm, is one of the best make up removing products I have used.  Calling it a make up removing product is not so true.. It's what it says, a cleansing balm. I swear, my face must have been black compared to the first time I used this.

You take a small amount on your finger tips, add a tiny bit of water and rub it into your hands. Now, it doesn't lather up, it stays silky and smooth, BUT dissolves all your make up AND mascara. Leaving your face feeling so fresh and soft! :D

YANKEE {VILLAGE} CANDLE - BLACK CHERRY

OH-MY-G*D.....

THIS IS ACTUAL LIFE....

Meltdown over.. I recently brought the 'Black Cherry' Yankee tester candle, from a recent trip to wales and absolutely fell in love with the smell. You really do not have to light it, just let it sit there and look pretty, you could get hooked, seriously..

We all know Yankee candles are expensive, so, here's where eBay comes in to it. :D
I found the cheaper version, a {village} candle, that smells EXACTLY the same. WIN!

My personal preference in candle scents, are the tangy / fruity sort of smells, which this most definitely is..

I am truly terrible at describing scents so bare with me..

TANGY, FRUITY, DELICIOUS, AMAZING, OHMEHGEWD GOOD!! Bam, sorted..

XOXO

Top 3 favourite perfumes | Beauty

What's your favourite perfume ?
Do you like a floral scent? Maybe a fruity scent, or, even a more mature stronger scent?

Personally, I tend to walk into the fragrance shop and purchase floral | fruity smells without even realising.
I'm a big fan of Elle Saab's, Le Parfum, but since that's now ran out I decided to try something different, I popped to town this afternoon and as I walked past the fragrance shop I decided I'd treat myself, the new Marc Jacobs, 'Daisy Dream' caught my eye..

Daisy Dream is a very classy, light, fresh and feminine scent. The scent includes blackberry, fresh grapefruit and pear, with hints of jasmine, lychee and blue wisteria. This has now become my new favourite perfume, replacing Elle Saabs, Le Parfum. The beautiful bottle drawn me to ask for a tester smell and I instantly loved it. I'm sure there are many people out there like me, who love a good looking bottle to go along with a gorgeous scent, right? It was £38.50 ($62, 48 EUR) for a 30ml bottle, so it's more on the expensive side, but, the smell lasts for quite a long time and if you kept it for the more special occasions, the 30ml bottle should last a while.

Another perfume that I'm loving at the moment is the Ralph Lauren's, 'Midnight Romance'.

Midnight Romance is a classy, sweet, floral and fruity scent, with hints of vanilla, spice and citrus. I visited America May just gone and went into one of the department stores in search for a new perfume. It was $74.00 (£45, 57 EUR) for a 50ml bottle, so, because of the high price tag, I keep it for when I go out on an evening. I must say I've never really gone for a perfume that's main scent is sweet, but I loved it. The only fault I have found with this fragrance is that the smell doesn't last, I spray quite a bit when I use it and to me, I feel the smell doesn't stay to long.

                                  ________________________________________________

Last but not least, 'he loves me'.

He loves me is a very fresh smelling fragrance, it's main scents include daisies and lilies with hints of green apples and pears. It's one of the nicest, cheap perfumes I've brought. With a price of just £6.00 ($10, 7.50 EUR) for a 50ml bottle, the scent reminds me of a more expensive classy fragrance. Believe it or not it's Primarks own make. Who knew Primark sold perfumes!? This lovely perfume with a pretty bottle reminds me of the first fragrance I spoke about, but fresher and not as strong. Its an expensive smelling scent with a cheap price tag and considering the price the smell actually lasts for quite a while.

Cocktail party at parliament | Shopping.

Do you ever go clothes shopping with the intention of NEEDING to buy something for an up coming party, but, as bad as it is, after hours of shopping, you end up opting for the dress that's collecting dust in your wardrobe?

Yeah, well, that happened.. I put my relative and close friend through pain that day, my baby cousin on the other hand happily sat in her pushchair, admiring the shops and sausage roll she chewed on for several hours.

My close friend stayed at mine the night before so we could dedicate ourselves to a full day of shopping, as I really 'needed' a new dress. [When i say needed we all know i didn't really NEED one, it was more of a case of wanting than needing haha.] I was going for the sophisticated yet dressy look as it was a more classier sort of cocktail party and i wasn't 100% sure how dressy I was supposed to go, so i opted for the play it safe mode.

We started out at 10am and arrived in the bigger city by 11am, one shop soon became two, six, ten and then shops started to get revisited over and over, hoping and begging a beautiful dress would just walk in front of me screaming buy me. I'm sure many people have experienced this, right? I will admit though, I am very picky and I could have easily brought one of the many dress i tried on, but, I had this image in my head, i knew what i wanted to buy and nothing met up to that image.

It soon reached 5pm and our feet gained quite a few blisters, i had an hour to find something and i had to make a snap decision.. Continue looking for a dress or wear the dust collector and go in search for a blazer instead, so that's what i did. Ironically the first shop i walked in i found a blazer that went with my previously brought bag and my dress.. So after spending around 7 hours looking for a dress i came home with a blazer instead and opted for my dust collector.. Is that bad? Haha.
