Monthly Favourites | May

Wow.. Has it really been 8 months since my last post?? Sorry not sorry..
Now, I don't know how many people followed my blog 8 months ago, but if you're still here.. Hello :) how have you been?

I know this month isn't quite over yet.. I haven't lost the ability to comprehend certain information..
But, I am super jam packed with my last assignment this week, that I thought I'd do my first monthly favourites early.  I have been loving so many things this month [LIES].. I haven't being loving that much to be honest, but the things I have liked, are pretty good..

This month, I've hated.. Uni.. Uni.. Uni.. Uni.. Uni.. UNI..
This month I've loved the usual.. PIZZA, SLEEP AND NETFLIX..

Joking.. Honestly, there are one or two, maybe three favourites I'd like to tell you about..

So.. Get some delicious cupcakes or chocolate, what every your preference is, and relax. ;)

EMMA HARDIE - Amazing Face Natural lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm.

Admittedly, this is one of the not so cheap products that hits your wallet hard.. The side of the wallet that anyone and everyone tries against their will not to go in to.. WE LOVE IT THOUGH!

Yes.. I know.. It looks like earwax..

BUT.. This silky, in between the fingers, smooth cleansing balm, is one of the best make up removing products I have used.  Calling it a make up removing product is not so true.. It's what it says, a cleansing balm. I swear, my face must have been black compared to the first time I used this.

You take a small amount on your finger tips, add a tiny bit of water and rub it into your hands. Now, it doesn't lather up, it stays silky and smooth, BUT dissolves all your make up AND mascara. Leaving your face feeling so fresh and soft! :D

YANKEE {VILLAGE} CANDLE - BLACK CHERRY

OH-MY-G*D.....

THIS IS ACTUAL LIFE....

Meltdown over.. I recently brought the 'Black Cherry' Yankee tester candle, from a recent trip to wales and absolutely fell in love with the smell. You really do not have to light it, just let it sit there and look pretty, you could get hooked, seriously..

We all know Yankee candles are expensive, so, here's where eBay comes in to it. :D
I found the cheaper version, a {village} candle, that smells EXACTLY the same. WIN!

My personal preference in candle scents, are the tangy / fruity sort of smells, which this most definitely is..

I am truly terrible at describing scents so bare with me..

TANGY, FRUITY, DELICIOUS, AMAZING, OHMEHGEWD GOOD!! Bam, sorted..

XOXO

Top 3 favourite perfumes | Beauty

What's your favourite perfume ?
Do you like a floral scent? Maybe a fruity scent, or, even a more mature stronger scent?

Personally, I tend to walk into the fragrance shop and purchase floral | fruity smells without even realising.
I'm a big fan of Elle Saab's, Le Parfum, but since that's now ran out I decided to try something different, I popped to town this afternoon and as I walked past the fragrance shop I decided I'd treat myself, the new Marc Jacobs, 'Daisy Dream' caught my eye..

Daisy Dream is a very classy, light, fresh and feminine scent. The scent includes blackberry, fresh grapefruit and pear, with hints of jasmine, lychee and blue wisteria. This has now become my new favourite perfume, replacing Elle Saabs, Le Parfum. The beautiful bottle drawn me to ask for a tester smell and I instantly loved it. I'm sure there are many people out there like me, who love a good looking bottle to go along with a gorgeous scent, right? It was £38.50 ($62, 48 EUR) for a 30ml bottle, so it's more on the expensive side, but, the smell lasts for quite a long time and if you kept it for the more special occasions, the 30ml bottle should last a while.
                                 _______________________________________________

Another perfume that I'm loving at the moment is the Ralph Lauren's, 'Midnight Romance'.

Midnight Romance is a classy, sweet, floral and fruity scent, with hints of vanilla, spice and citrus. I visited America May just gone and went into one of the department stores in search for a new perfume. It was $74.00 (£45, 57 EUR) for a 50ml bottle, so, because of the high price tag, I keep it for when I go out on an evening. I must say I've never really gone for a perfume that's main scent is sweet, but I loved it. The only fault I have found with this fragrance is that the smell doesn't last, I spray quite a bit when I use it and to me, I feel the smell doesn't stay to long.

                                  ________________________________________________

Last but not least, 'he loves me'.

He loves me is a very fresh smelling fragrance, it's main scents include daisies and lilies with hints of green apples and pears. It's one of the nicest, cheap perfumes I've brought. With a price of just £6.00 ($10, 7.50 EUR) for a 50ml bottle, the scent reminds me of a more expensive classy fragrance. Believe it or not it's Primarks own make. Who knew Primark sold perfumes!? This lovely perfume with a pretty bottle reminds me of the first fragrance I spoke about, but fresher and not as strong. Its an expensive smelling scent with a cheap price tag and considering the price the smell actually lasts for quite a while.

What's in my daily make-up bag? | Beauty

Who else carries a load of make-up in there make-up bag that they hardly use? I know i do..

My bag was a Christmas gift off my mom, its Elizabeth Arden and came with a bottle of Red Door perfume. I love this bag, its so ideal for carrying your make-up in, its simple, sturdy, it looks nice and spacious.

These are the make-up palettes that i carry in my make up bag, the bottom two are both No7 and the top palette is a cheap drug store brand, which is the one i mainly use. As you can see the white has been used quite a lot which is what i use to highlight under my eyebrows and as a base colour for my eye lids. Its a soft off white.

I use the light brown shade below the light pink for my eye brows as it keeps them looking natural and i don't have to use much.

I love the bottom two palettes also which is the reason why i keep them in my daily make-up bag, although i very rarely use them.

The No7 stay perfect foundation has been my go to foundation for about a year now, it's one i have purchased many times or have found very close No7 alternatives if they haven't had that one. I'm pretty sure this one hasn't been out for to long and that there was a very similar No7 foundation i used to use before, I'm not sure..
I mix a drop of No7 stay perfect foundation with around two pea size amounts of Lacura clear effect moisturiser, i do this because i'm not keen on putting the stay perfect foundation straight on to my face, or any foundation in fact, i did use to use this alone but I'm now not keen on it anymore. The No7 intelligent colour foundation is an old one i used to use, but now its just in there in case i want a change.

I have used many concealers but have never loved one like i have loved this one, this is the rimmel wake me up concealer corrector and i use it under my eyes, i streak it a little on my nose, chin and in the middle of my forehead.

On top of that foundation / moisturiser and concealer i use this drug store translucent loose stay-put setting powder all over my face.

Which all looks like this.

For blushers i have these two in my make-up bag, the top one in the black casing is a cheap drug store brand and the bottom one which is what i use is the Estee Lauder, deluxe all-over face compact. I use the light pink ( 01 petal ) the first one on the top row, which gives a nice glow and refreshing look.

When it comes to bronzer I'm not a big user of it, some days ill use it and some i wont. This No7 bronzer is the one i use if and whenever, only a slight bit on my cheek bones, temples and top of my forehead. I can't master using bronzer, i always do it wrong.

I have three mascaras, the silver is a drug store MUA extreme curl, which actually needs chucking away, its old and i never use it. The yellow is also a drug store brand, 2true flash eyes, this is the one i use but as of a week ago it has ran out and now i use the wand off of this and i now use the mascara of the No7 intense volume which is also nice.

I've had this little pot in my make-up bag for quite some time but have never used it until recently, its the Maybelline dream mousse shimmer in the shade porcelain, i usually use this a little on my cheek bones and its actually quite decent.

I'm not a huge eyeliner user, only usually when its a night out but either one of the drug store liquid pens above does the job. They don't really smudge and they glide on quite smoothly, i usually do it wrong and end up with panda eyes.

And the last make-up item in my bag is this No7 lipstick in the shade coral rose, i don't use this item to much as i don't really like wearing lipsticks but on the rare occasion that i do this is the one i turn to. Its not to dramatic and it looks lovely on.

Parties | Outfit

Everybody loves a good party, right?

I'm not one to go clubbing every week or to get totally hammered on a night out. It's just not my thing, but, i love a good party. My family live for family parties, someones birthday the whole family is usually invited, from great aunts to 2nd - 3rd cousins and all their families. Last Friday was one of those birthday parties, in fact it was my 2nd cousins.

As i said in my first blog, i can be quite bad when it comes to event clothes shopping, to be fair, i was pretty good this time around.

Primark was the shop i picked and i was determined to find an outfit in that store

Second lot.

So i ended up buying a dress from the second lot, overall it took about 45 minutes to find something, a lot easier than the 7 hour trip.

This is the dress i went for. I had it stuck in my head from a few years ago that i hated the A line style dress, I'm not sure why, i obviously had tried on a dress a few years back and hated it. It just shows that you should try your options and explore.

It was just above knee length, so not to short and not to long, and i matched it with black tights.

Black high wedges.

And a silver necklace.
